Senior Application Developer

Could you be a good fit? We are looking for the best, highly skilled Senior Application Developer to join the team of our exceptional client located in the greater Portland ME area. This is a hybrid onsite role.

What will your day look like? As a Senior Application Developer, you will:

• Work to take a feature from design to delivery; take a feature, break it down into stories, provide implementation options to stakeholders, and then build the necessary functionality from the Postgres tables to the UI.
• Code, test, design, document, and debug programs based on technical configurations developed by project teams and analysts.
• Track and estimate time required to complete work for financial tracking and project budgeting. Ensure design integrates with other related systems.
• Update, support, and maintain existing systems in response to business needs, system problems, or other factors.

You will be a good fit for the Senior Application Developer role if you have:

• 3 plus years of related experience
• Strong skills in Java 17+; experience or interest in Kotlin development preferred
• Experience with Spring Boot 3 and Vaadin 21+
• Fluency in HTTP and REST concepts
• Experience with AWS Cloud – Serverless Tech Stack (Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3)
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working both as part of a larger team and directly with end-users
