Robot Operator & Programmer

We're hiring a Robotics Operator & Programmer to join our innovative production team and take the lead on running our cutting-edge 3D printed concrete system! If you have hands-on experience programming and operating ABB industrial robots (or similar) and want to apply your skills to large-scale construction, this role is for you.

We currently offer part-time availability with flexible hours, and a full-time position with other support functions within the company's process.

What You'll Do:

• 
  
• System Operation: Oversee the robot and peripheral equipment during live 3D printing sessions, monitoring performance and making real-time adjustments.
• Toolpath Creation (Big Plus): Generate and refine complex robotic toolpaths or G-code from digital models (Rhino/Blender/slicer software) to ensure print efficiency and structural integrity.
• Calibration & Maintenance: Perform calibration, troubleshooting on the robot system to ensure continuous, accurate operation.
• Robot Programming: Develop, test, and optimize motion programs for our ABB articulated robot using Rhino/RobotStudio or native language for concrete extrusion if you have or can learn this skill.

We're Looking For:

• ABB (or similar) Robotics Expertise: Experience programming, operating, and basic troubleshooting of ABB industrial robots or similar (familiarity with IRC5 controllers is a strong asset).
• Toolpath/G-Code Skills: Experience creating custom toolpaths for 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a significant advantage.
• Technical Precision: Attention to detail in defining robot motion and print parameters.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve programming or mechanical issues under pressure.
• Flexible & Reliable: A commitment to a flexible, part-time schedule and a strong work ethic, can lead to full-time employment.
